Between 2002 and 2015, there was an average of around 188,000 fires per year in Germany. Which means that there are around 515 fires a day in Germany. Fire departments do an amazing job in this country. They are the rescuers in distress, the fire fighters, and every now and then they save a kitten from a tree. Fire departments rely on their equipment and tools every single time they go out to fight a fire. A particularly important piece of equipment is the suction hose.<\/p>\n

PARSCH’s suction hoses for firefighters are made of rubber and have wire-free ends. All suction hoses for firefighting are standardized according to DIN EN ISO 14557.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Area of application and design of suction hoses for the fire department<\/h3>\n

The suction hose is designed to be used as a suction line. It is attached to the suction inlet of a powerful centrifugal fire pump. Its purpose is to draw water from extinguishing water tanks, open bodies of water as well as from a collapsible tank.<\/p>\n

PARSCH relies on modern technology and workmanship for its suction hoses. In the interior, you will find a stiff spring steel helix embedded in an SBR rubber jacket. Within the majority of models, the inner wall is smooth. As a result, the flow resistance is particularly low and thus the pressure loss is hardly noticeable. The exterior consists of an imprint of textile fabric. This gives the emergency services the advantage of being able to hold the suction hose securely in their hands.<\/p>\n

In isolated and special cases, a suction hose can also be wrapped with a polypropylene rope. The rubber wall in this case is provided with a groove that follows the joint of the steel helix. During the suction process, the frond is designed to prevent the excess pressure of the environment from compressing anything. In other words, the steel frond is responsible for the dimensional stability in a suction hose. As a result, the flow rate remains stable, and the emergency services can operate with the usual waterpower. Despite this reinforcement, a high-quality suction hose is flexible along its axis, albeit limited.<\/p>\n

Suction hoses for firefighters are usually supplied in standard lengths. The sleeves of these hoses and their end sections do not contain a spiral in the outer wall. This makes tight binding much easier.<\/p>\n

Who uses suction hoses – German fire departments in figures<\/h3>\n

At the end of 2019, the Federal Republic of Germany had exactly 110 professional fire departments, a staggering 22,167 volunteer fire departments, an tremendous 20,867 youth fire departments and 760 fast plant fire departments. At the same time, 1,003,594 active people in volunteer fire departments provided protection for people. Professionally, 34,854 people practiced fighting fires. With the young firefighters and other committed people, the community of fire departments in Germany counted 1,348,044 heroic members at the end of 2019.<\/p>\n

Whereas in the past it was almost exclusively men who used suction hoses, nowadays many women have also entered this domain. As of the end of 2019, 103,211 women were serving in the volunteer fire department. 751 women practiced the honorable profession of firefighter. No one has to worry about female recruits. Currently, the proportion of women in the volunteer fire department is 10.3%, while the figure for young firefighters is a fantastic 28.3%. 1,220 women are actively working in the various plant fire departments.<\/p>\n

Moreover, taking a deeper look at the numbers from 2019, the dedication of women and men firefighters is more important than ever. In addition to fires, in 2019 they responded to 152 disaster alarms, about 650,000 technical assistance calls and more than 2.6 million emergency rescues.<\/p>\n

Zwischen 2002 und 2015 brannte es in Deutschland pro Jahr durchschnittlich ca. 188.000-mal. Das hei\u00dft, pro Tag brennt es auf dem Bundesgebiet rund 515-mal. Feuerwehren leisten hierzulande erstaunliches. Sie sind die Retter in Not, die Fire Fighters und ab und zu retten sie auch ein K\u00e4tzchen vom Baum. Bei jeder einzelnen Brandbek\u00e4mpfung verlassen sich die Feuerwehren auf ihr Material und Werkzeug. Ein besonders wichtiges ist der Saugschlauch.<\/p>

Die Saugschl\u00e4uche von PARSCH f\u00fcr die Feuerwehr sind aus Gummi und mit drahtfreien Enden versehen. Alle Saugschl\u00e4uche f\u00fcr den Feuerwehreinsatz sind nach DIN EN ISO 14557 normiert.\u00a0<\/p>

Einsatzgebiet und Aufbau von Saugschl\u00e4uchen f\u00fcr die Feuerwehr<\/h3>

Ein Saugschlauch wird als Saugleitung verwendet. Dabei wird er am Saugeingang einer leistungsf\u00e4higen Feuerl\u00f6schkreiselpumpe angeschlossen. Der Zweck ist die Wasserentnahme aus L\u00f6schwasserbeh\u00e4ltern, offenen Gew\u00e4ssern sowie aus einem Faltbeh\u00e4lter.<\/p>

PARSCH setzt bei Saugschl\u00e4uchen auf moderne Verarbeitung. Im Inneren finden Sie einen steifen Federstahlwendel, der in einen SBR-Gummimantel eingebettet ist. In den \u00fcberwiegenden Modellen ist die Innenwand glatt. Das f\u00fchrt dazu, dass der Str\u00f6mungswiderstand besonders gering ist und damit der Druckverlust kaum sp\u00fcrbar. Das \u00c4u\u00dfere besteht aus einem Abdruck aus Textilgewebe. Das hat den Vorteil, dass die Einsatzkr\u00e4fte den Saugschlauch sicher in der Hand halten k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>

In Einzel- und Spezialf\u00e4llen kann ein Saugschlauch auch mit einem Polypropylen-Seil umwickelt sein. In diesem Fall wird die Gummiwand mit einer Rille versehen, die der Fuge des Stahlwendels folgt. Der Wedel ist daf\u00fcr gedacht, dass w\u00e4hrend des Saugvorgangs der \u00dcberdruck der Umgebung nichts zusammendr\u00fccken kann. Das bedeutet, der Stahlwedel ist f\u00fcr die Formstabilit\u00e4t bei einem Saugschlauch verantwortlich. Damit bleibt die Durchflussmenge stabil und die Einsatzkr\u00e4fte k\u00f6nnen mit der gewohnten Wasserkraft operieren. Trotz dieser Verst\u00e4rkung ist ein hochwertiger Saugschlauch l\u00e4ngs seiner Achse biegsam, wenn auch eingeschr\u00e4nkt.<\/p>

Bei den Saugschl\u00e4uchen f\u00fcr die Feuerwehr werden in der Regel Standardl\u00e4ngen angeboten. Die Muffen dieser Schl\u00e4uche und deren Endbereiche enthalten keine Spirale in der Au\u00dfenwand. Das erleichtert das dichte Einbinden erheblich.<\/p>

Wer verwendet die Saugschl\u00e4uche \u2013 die deutschen Feuerwehren in Zahlen<\/h3>

Ende 2019 gab es in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland exakt 110 Berufsfeuerwehren, sagenhafte 22.167 Freiwillige Feuerwehren, ermunternde 20.867 Jugendfeuerwehren und 760 schnelle Werksfeuerwehren. Zum selben Zeitpunkt sorgten 1.003.594 aktive Personen in den Freiwilligen Feuerwehren f\u00fcr den Schutz der Menschen. Beruflich \u00fcbten 34.854 Menschen den Kampf gegen Br\u00e4nde. Mit den Jungfeuerwehrleuten und anderen Engagierten z\u00e4hlte die Gemeinschaft der Feuerwehren in Deutschland Ende 2019 1.348.044 heldenhafte Mitglieder.<\/p>

Nutzten fr\u00fcher fast ausschlie\u00dflich M\u00e4nner die Saugschl\u00e4uche, haben auch viele Frauen heutzutage in diese Dom\u00e4ne Einzug gehalten. Mit Ende 2019 taten 103.211 Frauen in der Freiwilligen Feuerwehr Dienst. 751 Frauen \u00fcbten den ehrhaften Beruf der Feuerwehrfrau aus. \u00dcber weiblichen Nachwuchs muss sich niemand sorgen. Gibt es bei der Freiwilligen Feuerwehr aktuell einen Frauenanteil von 10,3 %, liegt dieser bei der Jungfeuerwehr bei tollen 28,3 %. 1.220 Frauen arbeiten aktiv in den verschiedenen Werksfeuerwehren.<\/p>

Und wenn man sich die Zahlen aus 2019 vertiefend ansieht, ist der Einsatz von Feuerwehrfrauen und Feuerwehrm\u00e4nner wichtiger denn je. Neben den Br\u00e4nden r\u00fcckten sie 2019 zu 152 Katastrophenalarmen, rund 650.000 technischen Hilfsleistungen und \u00fcber 2,6 Millionen Notfallrettungen aus.<\/p>
